Using an automated randomizer, BeeWomen has scheduled 6-8 businesses for local promotion every Monday up from September 28 until December 21. We will feature small business ads or posts on:
- the BeeWomen website under Adopt-A-Business,
- the BeeWomen public Facebook page and
- the private Facebook group of BeeWomen member that is quickly reaching 300 in less than a year!
PLUS…members will promote business owner ads or posts and we will encourage other Bee Cave social media groups to feature the Monday posts.
Participating Businesses
Small, local businesses don't have the visibility, marketing budgets, and resources to leverage like larger companies. They rely on Bee Cave primarily for their survival. If you are a small business owner, email connect@beewomen.org for instructions and help. All we ask is that a business...
- is locally owned in Bee Cave/Austin and local purchases represent the bulk of their revenue (50% or more)
- relies heavily on walk-in, consumer foot traffic for the majority of sales or in a consumer industry most hard-hit by Covid (restaurants & exercise facilities)
- is physically located within Bee Cave city limits
How Locals Can Drive New Business & Visitors
If you are a supporter of local businesses, please consider the following:
- Note the postings below and consider buying from Bee Cave this holiday!
- Please “like” the BeeWomen public Facebook page so you see posts: BeeWomen, Bee Cave, Texas
- Please post positives publicly and address any negatives privately with the owner, one-to-one. This campaign is intended to give a leg up. Also, if you know the owner, please offer any positives because people tend to buy from businesses where they feel a connection with the owner.
- Consider forwarding their posts to your own social media pages.
- We are encouraging the businesses to screen shot the positive comments to use in their own social media efforts.
This initiative may be small in size, like our community, it's big in heart. We care about our neighbors, and we care about our small businesses.
